Second Language Vocabulary Acquisition Colloquium

This colloquium is intended as a forum for the presentation and discussion of recent research on all aspects of vocabulary acquisition in languages other than L1: linguistic, psychological, social and educational. Particular attention will be given to the following issues:

• The construct of vocabulary knowledge;
• Ways of measuring vocabulary knowledge and development;
• Contribution of technology to vocabulary research;
• Institutional and naturalistic vocabulary acquisition contexts and their influence on the learning process;
• The place of vocabulary in the development of specific language skills;
• Contributions of the study of L2 vocabulary learning towards theories of language acquisition;
• Beyond two languages: the processing of multiple lexicons.
