Vocabulary Acquisition Colloquium

This colloquium is intended as a forum for the presentation and
discussion of recent research on all aspects of vocabulary
acquisition in languages other than L1: linguistic, psychological,
social and educational. Particular attention will be given to the
following issues:
- The construct of vocabulary knowledge;
- Ways of measuring vocabulary knowledge and development;
- Contribution of technology to vocabulary research;
- Institutional and naturalistic vocabulary acquisition
contexts and their influence on the learning process;
- The place of vocabulary in the development of specific
language skills;
- Contributions of the study of L2 vocabulary learning towards
theories of language acquisition;
- Beyond two languages: the processing of multiple lexicons.

programme.
